The Seminole County Tax Collector has partnered with the Florida Department of Health, Office of Vital Statistics to issue certified copies of Florida birth certificates to eligible individuals.
Florida law requires any business in Seminole County selling merchandise or services to purchase a Business Tax Receipt. This also includes one owner companies and home‐based businesses.
Concealed Weapons Permits
The Seminole County Tax Collector serves as a county agent for the Florida Department of Agriculture for the single purpose of performing limited permit application processing functions.
Our goal is to provide our commercial accounts with good customer service, while acknowledging our responsibility to provide equal timely service to all our other walk‐in customers.
Driver License & ID
The Seminole County Tax Collector’s Office serves only as a County agent to perform most license issuance functions for Seminole county residents only.
Hunting & Fishing Permits
The Seminole County Tax Collector is responsible for the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, Florida waterfowl stamps, game management permits, the collection of all monies from these sales, and the maintenance of all records associated with such transactions.
Under Florida Statute 197, the Seminole County Tax Collector has the responsibility for the collection of ad valorem taxes and non‐ad valorem tax assessments. These are levied by the county, municipalities, and various taxing authorities in the county.
